Blessed and stressed...we're all doing our best!

It's Mother's Day 2017...

One mom wakes to breastfeed her baby,

While another mixes formula and fills a pump

One mom gets breakfast in bed,

While another cleans up her 6th morning of "feeding the bed"

One mom gets a resounding chorus of "happy mother's day!" From her children,

While another basks in the smile from her non-verbal child in silence

One mom sends her kids off to get dressed and ready for the day, while another must suction, vent, bathe, dress, and administer an array of medicine

One mom walks hand in hand with her child to church, while another pushes a wheelchair

One mom sits at her mother's day lunch and onlookers smile or praise her children for being quiet and well mannered, while another receives glares and rude comments with grace because her autistic child became overwhelmed and started to loudly stim or threw himself on the floor attempting self-harm

One mom gets a spa day and a babysitter,

While another had to fire a negligent home health provider and must take over all care until another safe option can be found

One mom wears a new necklace,

While another wears her 2nd outfit of the day from feeding explosions

One mom sits down to a beautiful dinner with her favorite dessert and her children lick their lips in anticipation, while another wishes her child could take a taste of anything without life threatening consequences

One mom gives birth and hears her child's first cry,

While another cries in grief at the news her child is now heaven-side

Both women are MOMS,

Both women should be celebrated,

Both women work hard,

Both women are loved by her children...

Dear mother's...

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.  When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.  Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her:  “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise." Proverbs 31:25-31 NLT
