General Update and USBBY...read to find out!

Hey Tubie Friends!

Long time no post...we have had to step back to take care of Nico and his Sister. Taking them to doctor's, Specialists and MOVING!

That's right we moved to a little town in Montana called Thompson Falls. We have been getting settled and we LOVE IT HERE. Changing Pediatricians and establishing my hair business. And I am finally able to breathe for a minute.

Our 2nd Book, "A Very Tubie Christmas" Launched Nov. 4th 2017 just before our move, and Rebecca Robertson did another amazing job with illustrations...BIG THANK YOU TO HER! And we await results of award submissions for that book soon :-) .

We have had some exciting book news that I shared on our Facebook page, but I wanted to update you here as well. Our first book "My Belly Has Two Buttons" won a spot on the USBBY'S Outstanding Books For Young People with DIsabilities award list Nominees!!

What is the USBBY?

It's our country's (USA) National Section. Called United States Board on Books For Young People. This is overseen by the IBBY (International Board on Books For Young People) and this is the umbrella non-profit that gives awards like the "Hans Christian Anderson Award". The whole goal of this organization is to make books accessible to children, represent all of them, and give them the

opportunity to read.

Our book is one of 12, and there are 73 sections around the world. We will hopefully make the International list which will be announced in April 2019. I am so excited to even be nominated by our nation's branch and hope we continue to represent the feeding tube community well!

Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date with the happenings in our #mybellyhastwobuttons #tubielife and help us promote greater #feedingtubeawareness !
